The form is the same for all persons.
He left at three o'clock.
They arrived three weeks ago.
She didn't finish on time yesterday.

Use
finished actions in the past

a past situation or habit
When I was a child, I walked for miles on the beach every day.
This use is often used with used to.
I used to walk for miles every day.
Examples
I went to Manchester last week.
They gave me a lovely present.
We played football every day when we were young.
We used to play football every day.
