---------------------------------------*-------------------------------------- Time expressions We use in/at/on/ago with the Past Simple to say when something happened. IN/AT/ON In the twentieth century / 1924 / the 1990s winter / summer / the evening / the morning / September on 10 October / Christmas Day / Saturday / Sunday evening at seven o'clock / weekends / night AGO I went there ten years / two weeks / a month ago. Examples He finishes work at 5 o'clock. Man first landed on the moon on 20 July 1969. I had a coffee break 30 minutes ago. The Russian Revolution was in 1917.

He drives too fast. To form regular adve bs, add -ly to the adjective. Words ending in -y change to -ily. Adjective quick slow bad careful real immediate easy Adverb quickly slowly badly carefully really immediately easily
